Beginner-Friendly Cannabis Chocolate Recipe

Depending on the type of flower or concentrate you use, your chocolates can be THC-forward for an uplifting experience, CBD-rich for relaxation without the high, or a balanced blend if you’re looking for something in between. Whatever your preference, this is a great way to explore cannabis edibles without overcomplicating the process.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup High-quality chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • 2-4 tbsp Infused oil, cannabutter, tincture, or concentrate (depending on how potent you want the final product to be)
  • 1 dash Sea salt, crushed nuts, and other flavor extracts (optional)

Equipment

  • Silicone chocolate mold, mini cupcake liners, baking tray, or parchment paper (using silicon molds makes it easy to measure the THC in each piece of chocolate)
  • Double boiler or microwave-safe bowl

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate.
You can accomplish this either with a double boiler or a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Stir in your infusion of choice.
Add your chosen cannabis infusion slowly, mixing thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
  3. Add flavors or toppings.
This is your chance to mix in extracts or sprinkle toppings into molds.
  4. Pour and set.
Fill your molds, smooth the tops, and let them cool at room temp or refrigerate until firm.
  5. Label and store.
See our tips below for proper storage and safety.
